Common Mistakes
- 1 Not configuring data scrubbing rules, allowing personal data in error messages to be transmitted to Sentry
- 2 Including user email addresses or IDs in the Sentry user context without necessity
- 3 Not selecting EU data residency when monitoring applications serving EU users
Compliance Considerations
Collects error data including stack traces, browser metadata, and user context. Error messages and stack traces may inadvertently contain personal data (user IDs, email addresses in URLs, etc.). For error monitoring purposes, a legitimate interest basis is generally appropriate. Configure data scrubbing to remove personal data from error reports. EU data residency available.
